DJShadow_TV, the main source of the news, has deleted the original tweet and stated that they have been misled by the artist. The deletion was done after a post by DingDongVG, who reviewed a cached version of the artist's DeviantArt website and found that the photo replaced another photo in the gallery space.
The only thing that remains unexplained are the earlier versions, which are similar to their designs. Her Facebook post has been deleted as well as her previous drafts that were included in the comments. We will update this article again if further information is published in the coming days.
A post on Twitter found favor yesterday when Ruby Ramirez, a young DeviantArt artist, claimed that Epic had stolen her design.
As you can see from the Facebook post, the two designs are very similar, from the unique aspects of the character to the colors chosen by the designer.
Here are some things that are common in both designs: horns, blue hair behind a red / yellow headband, white face, red knit belt with white knot and a feather-like design on the shoulder blades.
Basically, she claims they have copied her skin and is worried that she can no longer use her own design without people claiming she copied it from Epic. She also says that she did not design it for Fortnite or sent it at any time.
